Joel Lavoie is a francophone singer-songwriter and producer from northern Alberta. 

His songwriting reflects his introspective nature and his love for the North. Joel is a "guitar player’s guitar player" and brings passion and authenticity to all of his performances. Joel has been composing, performing and teaching music for over 25 years, gracing stages at prestigious venues like Edmonton's Winspear Centre, Montreal's National Music Center, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington DC, and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Joel remains a passionate performer, singer-songwriter and blues enthusiast.
